SPARK Park Fundraising Update
The Nottingham Knights are well on their way to meeting the fundraising goal for the Nottingham SPARK Park! The Knight Run was very successful and brought in almost $19,000 bringing our current total raised to $193,000 plus additional in-kind field work donation coordinated by a generous NHE family!!! BUT, there is still more fundraising to be done before our deadline of May 31, 2015 (33 days left to make your donation).
Parents, don't forget to ask your employers if they will match your donation! Company matching is not only available in large corporations but in smaller companies, too. If you are not sure if your employer matches, be sure to ask!
Do you know of an individual or business that you think would support the Park but you are uncomfortable asking for a donation? Let the SPARK team do the asking! If you would like a member of the SPARK team to approach an individual or business as a potential donor, contact Leslie Schoenfield at [email protected].
Do you know of a foundation or other charitable organization that would support the Park? Contact Jennifer Vanderschoor at [email protected].
Underwriting opportunities within the Park are going fast! If there is a portion of the Park that you would like to permanently bear your family or business name, do not delay! Turn in your Commitment Form to reserve your spot! Contact Gina Keith at [email protected] for Underwriting. So far, the following items are SOLD:
A huge THANK YOU to all the parents, teachers, staff and students who have helped support our Nottingham SPARK Park so far!!! Go Knights!

Stratford Playhouse Presents “39 Steps”
Fresh off the heels of the Tommy Tunes Awards night, Stratford Playhouse finishes their season with “39 Steps,” a melodrama adapted from the Alfred Hitchcock film of the same name. The play’s concept calls for the entirety of the show to be performed with only a cast of four players. One actor, Jack Goss, plays the hero Richard Hannay, while Keeley Flynn plays the three women with whom he has romantic entanglements. The remaining two actors, Cameron Munoz and Dustin Nichols, play every other character in the show from heroes to villains, to men, women and children, and sometimes even inanimate objects. This requires lightning fast costume changes, and occasionally several characters being played at once. As a result, the spy story is mainly played for laughs, with allusions to many other Alfred Hitchcock films in the process. Directed by Christian Homes, the show is sure tickle your funny bone. Tickets are $16 in advance. Performances will be at 7:30 pm, April 30-May 2, and May 8-9, with a matinee on May 9 at 2:30 pm. Tickets for “39 Steps” are available to purchase online, or can be purchased at the Box Office beginning Thursday April 23. For more information or to buy tickets, go to www.shsplayhouse.org or call 713-251-3449.
