Walk your Student to School on April 24
The Nottingham Elementary 5th Grade Girl Scout Troop 18995 encourages you to Walk your Student to School on April 24 in honor of Earth Day Week. Let's make a change together and reduce our carbon emissions while getting some exercise to energize us and our children for a great Friday! Go Knights!
Sno-Cones and Pickles this Friday
The weather has finally warmed up, so it's time for Sno-Cone Friday--with a twist! This Friday, April 25, we will have Sno-Cone and Pickle Friday. Sno-Cones and large dill pickles will be on sale for $1 each after school. Bus riders will be let out a bit early so they can get something before they have to catch their buses. We also need about 10 volunteers to ensure that things run smoothly. It's the craziest, most fun 30 minutes you can spend volunteering! To sign up to help, you can go to the following link: http://tinyurl.com/4-25Sno-Cone.
May is a busy month for 4th Grade Extreme Science!
Schoola Fundraiser for SPARK Park!
Clean out your closets and help earn money for the SPARK Park! Schoola will sell our gently used women and children's clothing, shoes and handbags. NHE will earn 40% of the proceeds! Look for the flyer and label in your child's folder and on the PTA website. Drop-off is between April 27 and May 1.
Volunteers needed for art class project
The new Nottingham SPARK Park is going to have an art element that will incorporate a painting by our talented art teacher, Ms. Ripley, and will be framed with tiles that are hand-painted by every student. Ms. Ripley is working on this project next week (4/27-5/01) in her class and she has asked for volunteers to help her throughout the day as she will be moving tiles into the kiln room, helping little ones write their names on their tile, etc.
If you can help with one class or more, please sign up here: http://www.signupgenius.com/go/30e044facae23a75-help1

Parents, don't forget to ask your employers if they will match your donation! Company matching is not only available in large corporations but in smaller companies, too. If you are not sure if your employer matches, be sure to ask!
Do you know of an individual or business that you think would support the Park but you are uncomfortable asking for a donation? Let the SPARK team do the asking! If you would like a member of the SPARK team to approach an individual or business as a potential donor, contact Leslie Schoenfield at [email protected].
Do you know of a foundation or other charitable organization that would support the Park? Contact Jennifer Vanderschoor at [email protected].
Underwriting opportunities within the Park are going fast! If there is a portion of the Park that you would like to permanently bear your family or business name, do not delay!
